We’re a group of 20somethings in NYC bringing back the lost art of the Album. Come grab a drink and listen to a full record (on vinyl of course) with people who love music as much as you do. The purpose of The Vinyl Word is to give people a space to connect over the shared medium of music. Long live physical media!

Our story
I, George, the founder and director of Analog Affairs, moved to New York City in March of 2024 knowing only a smattering of friends and relatives, and needed a way to meet more people. I’ve always been a music geek and record collector, and have always wanted to find other like-minded music friends, so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I put up flyers advertising a ‘music book club’ all over NYC with my personal cell line on it, and hence, New York City’s greatest music book club/album appreciation club was born. Since that fateful first meeting in 2024, The Vinyl Word has blossomed in ways I couldn’t imagine.
